    Yes. In fact, it works both ways.

    In my chemistry class, there was a spill of water and acid. The girls who thought they had been splashed by water didn't feel any pain until they looked down and saw the holes in the clothes from the acid. Then it hurt.

    And the girls who really got splashed by water felt real pain because they thought it was acid. Even when they knew it was water, it continued to hurt for a while.

    Yes, it could be an overactive imagination, or it could be real. Have you tested yourself yet? How long ago could a pregnancy have started?

    It happens all the time. You think you are pregnant, and suddenly you feel sick, you're tired, your breasts seem too sensitive, you even walk differently. Then you get a negative pregnancy test and you don't notice any of those things any more.
