    Noisy Sprinkler Valves
My Hardie sprinkler valves are very noisy, like vibrating sound, when they are running. There is some sort of bleeder on the top, and when it is opened, water squirts out. When the water is squirting out, the valve becomes quiet an the flow to the sprinklers is increase. How can I make them work properly

Remove sprinkler head and turn on water to flush system.

Clean heads of any debris and reinstall.

    Hope this helps.

Why are my FLOW valves noisy when the heat turns on? I have a hot water oil furnace with 2 zones. I purged them, but maybe I didn't do it right or good enough? There is about 15 lbs of pressure in the system. The hot water goes up through the flow vavles first, then through the system back down...

For additions to a home sprinkler system, can I add control valves downstream of an antisiphon valve? Some plumbing books and one RainBird sprinkler info sheet says to do this. Other internet sites say to avoid possible damage to the antisiphon valve, no other valves should be installed...
