Started with dishes on top rack not cleaning well (an issue that a repairman fixed a few months ago by clearing seed debris from the internal machinery). The next day the washer stopped completely, with a flashing green clean light. Unplugging, and then plugging it back on didn't help. A call to the repairman led to him suggesting the circuit board was bad.
On this sight I got the idea of pushing in succession the high temp and heated dry buttons twice, which then turned on all the lights for a few seconds, after which the machine started.
BUT, it doesn't go beyond the rinse cycle (never hits the dry cycle) in either the Smart wash, normal wash, or light wash modes. Curiously, the quick wash mode does work and turns itself off after 30 minutes, but it doesn't involve a dry cycle.
I tried what the repairman had done, by taking it apart enough to clear debris that went beyond the filter(?) and just before a circular blade I expect is the internal disposal. But, trying the Normal wash mode again still left it running for over 2 1/2 hours before I pushed the cancel button. The dishes are clean and wet. Any suggestions?
