Copper Lighted Singled Pole Switch works but not when installed
Hi, I am trying to install a one (1) Copper Lighted Singled Pole Switch in a dinning room to power a ceiling light in a 1930's home. The device is 15A-120V AC. I removed the old switch and connected the new lighted switch. I tested the lighted switch by turning the circuit breaker on, and the lighted switched worked fine. However, when I screwed the lighted switch in the metal box and turned on the circuit breaker again, the switch turns on the ceiling light but the built in light does not come on in the "off" position. I repeated this process with the same results. Being an older home, the box is not grounded. Any ideas or hints? Thanks.

This is the only data sheet I can find for a Cooper lighted toggle switch, since it is labeled grounding, I suspect the switch needs to be grounded for the pilot light to work.
