    Home Air conditioning Intake Sizing
If the calculations show I need a 2.6 sq/ft opening for intake size, but the one that I have know is 3.8 sq/ft.
    Will this make any difference?

The same volume of air will be drawn in to the plenum but at a slightly lower velocity. Does the intake remain 3.8 all the way into the plenum?
