Musty bathroom smell
Hi,
Whenevre you enter my bathroom it always has a mutsy, moldy, mildewy smell. I don't know how to describe it but it stinks. Finally one day when I was cleaning out the vanity under the sink I noticed it the most. Now, I live in a very old home so I checked the vanity walls for mold and there was nothing. I had lined the bottom of the baninet with that nice lining paper that you do in all kitchen cabinets to keep them nice. When I pulled everything out I notice like a green rust of dust all over. Iy almost looked like when yout car battery gets acid on it. Is that mold? The drain is u shaped and metal. I am not sure if that is normal. Is that part of the smell? In your reply can you please be very specific? I know nothing about this stuff and am a single mom. Thanks!

Actually, no I don't! That is a good question. Never thought about that It is a really old house. I heard you can buy one that hangs on the wall or shower? Never thought about that. My boyfriend said it has like a sweet smell to it too. Do you think this could be mold? But it seems like it is coming from under the bathroom sink. Could rotting old pipes make this smell? They are all metal. Maybe they are just rusty
And old and need to be replaced and that is what is causing it?

Sounds like mold to me,
You don't need a exhaust fan to pull the stinky out you need to remove the source of the odor, Clean all that nasty green stuff away with full strength bleach. Get it in all the cracks and corners. Smell better now? Tom
