Janitrol Furnace will not stay lit.
My Janitrol furnace is not working properly:

1/ The furnace will go through its start up sequence.
2/ The furnace will light and the gas will ignite and burn.
3/ The furnace will stay lit for approximately 5 minutes and then the flame will go out.
4/ The furnace will immediately go through three restart sequences and then go into system lockout.
5/ The circuit board LED display light will flash one time.
6/ The systems circulation fan will continue to blow.

In the past, I have been able to flip the power switch to the unit and it will start working properly; sometimes it'll work for weeks; sometimes for a couple hours. Lately, its been running a couple hours before the problem starts again. Last year, I replaced the igniter assembly, the circulation fan motor/assembly, and the circuit board. I have taken out the flame sensor out and cleaned it, but the problem keeps happening. Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated.

Well with experimentation and internet research, I was able to fix my furnace on my own.Since I did not get any responses to my initial question, I figured I would share my experience so that if someone else was having the same problem, they could try the same things.

1/ Clean the flame sensor - I went to my local hardware store and got some 320 sandpaper and dry sanded the sensor. I then took a paper towel and removed any excess dust from the sensor as a result from the sanding.

2/ Replaced the pressure switch - using Bing.com, I found a replacement pressure switch. The circuit board display switch was flashing displaying this error code. I had issues in the past where this was an issue causing sticking. My HVAC guy use to tell me, "just tap it and it should pop and start working again." This was not the case this time. The part number was located on the side of the part itself. Once the new part was in, I adjusted the length of the pressure switch tube running between the fan and switch itself. The part was about $33 with shipping. But the problem persisted.

3/ Replaced the master limiter switch - After reading a post on another website, someone said they were having similar problems as mine. I located the master limiter switch (behind the gas flow switch) and I could see discoloration running from the fan housing to the switch. Upon removing the switch itself, the discoloration was on the edges of the switch. I installed the new part, which cost about $15 with shipping, the unit again began to turn on run for 5 minutes and then shut off.

4/ Checked wires - I checked to make sure all the units wires were still in place and secure. I did find a few wires that were loose from the circuit board. I secured them in their proper place. I then powered up the unit and it began functioning properly. It has now been running for about a week with no problems at all.

I hope that my experience will help others who may have the same problem.

Toolride, thanks for the informative suggestions. However, I don't know where the parts are located on my Janitrol furnace. Is there a way for me to contact you for help ?
