Shallow well pump motor won't shut off.
I have a 1 hp Flotek shallow well with a 50 gallon bladder tank. Yesterday I found that the hose between the pump and pressure switch had blown off and water was blowing out of the nozzle. I replaced the hose, but found that when the pump kicked on it would not shut off. I replaced the pressure switch with a new 60-40 switch, but the pump would still not shut off. I checked the water pressure at the well and it was OK, but the pressure inside the house was extremely low. There are no signs of any leaks in the pipes from the pressure tank to the house. I don't think the foot valve is bad because water stays in the pipes when I turn the pump breaker off. I can't figure out if I have a problem with the pump motor or the bladder tank.
