Flickering ceiling fan bulbs when fan speed is changed
I just installed a Harbor Breeze Dual Ceiling Fan & Light Control Switch and am having the following problem: when I have both the lights and ceiling fan on, the lights flicker most of the time when I change the speed of the fan. What is causing this? Did I incorrectly wire the fan or is the type of bulb I'm using (I am using regular ceilng fan bulbs).

I pulled the chain out of the switch on my Sears ceiling fan. Any suggestions on where to find a switch replacement or adapt to something else? Sears no longer stocks the part, I have tried Ace Hardware, Home Depot and local ceiling fan store.
The pull chain controlling the fan speed snapped off inside the unit. How much disassembly is required to replace it?
