My step daughter's mother is an ex prostitute, with a grade 3 reading level, she has had 4 children removed from her care by Children's Aid Society, 2 children died @ birth ( cause she refused to take proper medical care of herself, she was required to take a shot every month because of a blood disorder between her and baby) She put her hand up and said she was native so the CAS that was able to remove the other children from her care is no longer involved and the Native CAS is now involved but they deemed her able (she was best friends with her "worker") she was told by the CPS agency her daughter had to go to Daycare because she needed socialization with other kids ( she went 2 times in a year when she was 3) she has moved 5-6 times in 3 years because of eviction (once because she did not clean the residence she was in, one because she had a party and destroyed the residence and other times because she did not pay the rent) All the while a Native CPS was involved with her. She is now 6 yrs old and in grade 1. she attended 4 different school for JK and SK and now she is in grade one and since Sept 2010 (its now November 2010) she has only attended a total of 21 days of school. Now the school is making her (my step-daughter) to the morning announcements to assure that she is there on a daily basis but if she misses one day she will be suspended. In the meantime I have my 2 children with me and my husband and my children have not missed more than 3 days of school a year (usually due to illness) they have extra ciricular activities and are very well adjusted children. We all worry about her when she is at her mothers and have gone to court for custody, but we have never had enough "physical proof" of his ex's behaviours and parenting decisions so all they said was she had to attend parenting classes (she has had to attend these for all of the other children as well obviously not learning) My question is What constitutes as Physical Proof? ( we now have her attendance record from school ) and all the addresses she has lived at in the last 3 years any other suggestions of things we can get that would help us?
