    EtG and alcohol
Hello Dr. Bill. I am a 37 year old man and healthy just with Hypertension. I drank 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine on Saturday night and finished around 10pm. I was tested for ETG on Thursday 9 AM. This is around 106 hours the time I had my last drink. Do you think it will show up? I weigh 165 lbs and I take diuretics to control my Hypertension daily. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

5 oz of wine is a standard drink. So double that for safety and consider it 6 standard drinks.

At the time interval provided there should be no EtG (or EtS) present.

Diuretics generally expedite the elimination of EtG but that additional aid would be irrelevant in your case due to the low amount of ethanol and extended time interval.

I don't see any way that you would still test positive for ETG after this much time. I am trying to track the information from persons that are not either in Detox or in a hospital. Do you know the results of your test?
