Post election prognistication
Hello:
What?? No gloating?? Go ahead - gloat. You got 24 hours... Ok, I know why you're not gloating - because the right wing didn't get hired. The left just got fired... And, how about that Sharron Angle? I guess she can use her Second Amendment remedies, now... She didn't get her way...
Speaker Orange looked like Glenn Beck when he cried... I actually LIKED it, though. He's human, and I'm going to give him a break for two years...
And, what about that crazy California?? The zillions spent by Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorino didn't matter. They elected Governor Moonbeam, but they defeated the legalization of pot... What's up with that?
So, tell me what all this means...

Sore loser... don't tell me you like most Democrats never saw this coming. You didn't actually believe most people actually Liked or wanted what Obama and the Dems were trying to stuff down our throats?
What this means is simply... the people duped by the Con Artists at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue are wise to the game this election and it shifted back to sanity rather than Socialism the left wants.
Simple as that.

I was up late and have not had a chance to digest all that happened.
The House went as I expected . It would've been nice to pick off West Va. Because I think Reid is going to do some crazy things in the lame duck session and an extra Republican block would've been helpful. If there is a silver lining in his win it's that Schumer won't be majority leader .
The Tea party had some great success and some set backs. What this tells me is that they haven't learned how to manage a national campaign yet and will continue to need the Republican machine. The Republicans in turn need the Tea party . It is only their enthusiasm that made the results yesterday possible.
Angle is a case in point. She did not have the Reid 'get out the vote' machine.
Rubio... he is Tea Party ,but also a protégé of Jeb Bush. He has a great future. The Clintoon visit to Fla to throw Meek under the bus proved the biggest mistake of the cycle. The African-Americans did not show up and many districts the Dems could've won in the State went Red . With the Governor-elect being Republican ;and this being a redistricting year , the President may have thrown a huge monkey wrench in his reelection plans (if he has any).
To me the Governor results is the under reported story . I for one wish NY went Republican because I live in possibly the most rediculously gerrymandered district in the nation.
The strategery was always a 2 election cycle plan. It would've been extremely difficult to take the Senate because most of the seats in contention were Republican hold . The 2012 cycle has many more Dem seats up for grabs.
California... what can I say ? Talk about voting against their own best interest! Brown and Boxer are a joke.
I note that in AZ there was a Governor contest... yes there really was. The national media was very silent on that because they knew Brewer would romp and the main reason she did was because she defends the right of the state to make and enforce laws that defends the state.
Re the speaker... we now have a person of color in both the Presidency and the Speaker of the House positions. He's got to stay out of the tanning booths... it must be bombarding him with estrogen.

Hello tom:
That is POSITIVELY funny. I didn't know you had it in you. Must be the giddiness..
I think your assessment is pretty accurate. However, given that Angle's election wouldn't have given the senate to the Republicans, I think Reid should have lost for two reasons: in the first place, it would be great FUN to have Sharron Angle around for the next six years. In the second place, if I believe one of the Democrats MAJOR problems was communication, and I DO, then Shumer would be an ideal leader. No matter what you think of him, he can articulate the message without making me fall asleep.

I'm pleased but I'm not going to gloat. And speaking of color, I think it's great that a fine Hispanic man in Marco Rubio defeated another overly tanned guy for the Senate, along with David Rivera and Allen West in the House from Florida.
Oh, and that pathetic man Alan Grayson is gone. That's not gloating is it?

I'll Gloat that Princess Nancy Pelosi isn't going to be the speaker of the house any longer very soon... She was arguably the most arrogant self righteous and pompous female in politics today.
And Air Pelosi won't be bleeding the taxpays dry any longer.

I think Grayson has a fine future when he replaced Ed on MSNBC .
Guv Big Hair did very well. Do you think he's going to make a run at the White House ?
More on Nevada. The Angle killer was the line item on their ballot for "none of the above".. . that ,the Casino union workers hired for day to drive voters to the polls ,and the SEIU poll watchers.
I hate to beat a dead horse ,but there was some poll mischief by the NBP in Houston . This is becoming habitual .

The Gov. Goodhair vote was merely a choice between the lesser of two evils. I hope he doesn't run for president, he's never lost an election.

In Texas, there is no electioneering within 100 feet if the door to the polling place, but apparently here and in Philly you can patrol the door with clubs.

I think Perry will make a run. 3rd terms aren't usually successful . I don't think he'll fare well on the national stage despite his convenient embrace of the Tea Party and his campaign coffers.

Here is the NY Guv breakdown
Andrew Cuomo, Dem 2,532,447 - 62 per cent
Carl Paladino, Rep 1,399,235 - 34 per cent
Howie Hawkins, Grn 56,868 - 1 per cent
Jimmy McMillan,Rent TDH 39,850 - 1 per cent
Warren Redlich, Lib 44,696 - 1 per cent
Kristin Davis, Oth 22,775 - 1 per cent
Charles Barron, Fre 20,717 - 1 per cent
...
I considered voting for him until I heard him on a radio interview state his position was to bring the Obama agenda to the local level. That was an immediate DQ in my book.
The Admiral almost pulled it off in the Keystone State. Had the President's Philly mobilization worked he would've .
One thing that concerned me is that he closed the gap by charging Toomey is a 'free trader' with China . That was a similar charge that worked for the HindenBoxer in Ca.
Shumer is openly threatening trade war with China so I see this as a growing sentiment .

Hello again, tom:
Hmm. Our JOBS are going to China... This election was about JOBS. China's trade policy encourages the importation of MORE of our JOBS. Shumer is doing something about the loss of our JOBS. He's trying to keep some of our JOBS here by confronting the Chinese.
But, you'd rather give a tax break to the rich, as though you think that'll help us keep the jobs that are left... Who, by the way, do you think are the ones who're shipping our JOBS off to China?? They're the rich, who you want to give a tax break to and add it to the deficit so my grandchildren have to pay for it... Dude.

I thought Sestak would pull it off but he didn't oh well. I can't believe McMillan even got 1%. How do you think Big Jon Runyan will do?

Latest in Washington Senate contest... 65% counted... still too close to call. There are still 500,000 mail in votes that have not made it in from the postal system yet. (deadline for mailing was midnight )

Runyan they pulled a nice trick on . The Dems ran a phony 'tea party' candidate in the race .This time I'm on Runyan's side .He's not trying to block Strahan.
Ex. My only concern is that trade wars devolve rapidly into shooting wars. Other than that I have no problem taking aim at China .They have been blocking sale of rare earth minerals to us and to Japan. Given the national security implications ,that can't go unanswered . But Admiral Sestak's charge against Toomey was a cheap baseless attack.

If they tried to make a TV in California they would have to charge $10,000 for each one after all the Environmental charges... taxes... free benefits to non-workers etc.
No wonder the work is going overseas. Who is going to pay to go to college to work for minimum wage building TV's, DVRs, Radios etc...
And even at minimum wage you would have to pay a LOT more to buy something... just for them to break even.
I know a lot about this... I have an Electronics Engineering Degree and have worked for two manufacturers in the past here on the East Coast that I quit over wages.
And that has nothing to do with someone Rich... hogging the money.
How about Hollywood cutting the wages of actors... nobody actually needs to make Millions pretending to be somebody else...
Who can afford to take the family to see a movie these days with just $10 a head for tickets alone.
Or Go to a Concert or Sports event at $75 or higher each just for the bad seats...

Is that how much it is to go to the movies? I only go to the movies on a Wednesday night (5 bucks all day plus free popcorn) and Sunday mornings before 11 again 5 bucks and the place is empty. I go to a ton of Phillies and sixers games and not once have I ever paid over 35.00 for a ticket and they are great seats. As far as concerts go I am really into indie hiphop so tickets to those concerts range from $15.00 to $25.00.
I work for a manufacturer in NJ I make a great salary and our fuel management system are very affordable. Why does everything need to be made in CA?

I have found I like to usher at events. Not only do we get to see the show for free, we raise money for the kiddos at church to go to camp and such. Saw The Temptations on Sunday, it was a blast.
