I fancy one of my brothers girl friends (not girlfriend). I am unsure if this is a problem. I don't want to end up just friends with the girl but it's hard to flirt with her if my brothers around (I do get some times to be alone with her.)

Do you and your brother get along; ask him what he thinks of the situation?

I can only assume the time when you get to hang out with her is when he brings her over to the house so just turn up the charm and start having conversations with her and your brother. This may be harsh but as the conversation goes on try to weed your brother out of it. I'm not saying stand in between the two, that would be rude.

But before making a move on her I suggest talking to your brother first, and through him you just find out information about her that can be beneficial.

There is not really that big a deal with the age. I have found out she is single and feeling lonely this came up in a group conversation. My brother made a passing comet about marrying me but she did not respond. I think my bro would be OK with it if we did end up a couple he just might take a bit to get used to it. I will think about talking to my brother about it and try to charm in the mean time.

I suggest you keep talking to her and getting to know her better before you act on these feelings.

You say that you can't flirt with her because your brother is around so it might feel weird. If that's the case, then it doesn't sound like you know her very well because you haven't really had any conversations with her without your brother around. So why not get her contact information and set up a date with her where you can how some 1 on 1 time. If you can't even get a date with her, then I don't see how you can get her to become your girlfriend.
