    What is this song
    it is played sometimes on 89x radio (rock/alternative/metal) and the only words I remember from it were something about digging a hole or a grave. I know that's not a lot but does anyone have any idea what it might be? It is a slower, depressing sounding song with a male singer.

    The only two I could come up with that fit the "alternative/rock/metal" genre of radio songs with those words

    1) Digging a Hole -by a Canadian rock band called Big sugar(BUT,this is a rather up tempo song so deosnt quite fit the "slow /depressed" sound you mentioned

    2) Down in a Hole -by Alice in Chains. This fits your description and genre.
