    Since when has it stopped working?

    Try reloading your laptop. Restart your laptop and hold down ALT and keep pressing "F10" key.

    Doing this will Format your hard drive and you will lose all your data. So backup.
    After this is done it should work.

    If it doesn't then send to acer to assess. The sound card may be faulty.
