    Problem with roommate's friend.
I am a foreigner, living in 2 BHK with my husband(Indian) in India. We have given for rent one room to North Indian girl(around March 2010).
Everything was fine at the beginning until the time when her friend came back from US.
For the last 8 weeks they have been hanging out on weekends in the apartment. We have found it very annoying, but at the beginning we just didn't say anything because we knew that she feels lonely. Then it became worst and worst, she allowed him to sleep in her room few times which make me feel very bad as his house is only 10 minutes away. If they at last would be together as boyfriend and girlfriend, but that girl likes using him only as a driver. He loves her so much but she really doesn't care about his feelings. She hides from him that she is looking for a match on some Indian page and asked us to say nothing to him. I feel very bad, and I am really tired of it. Frankly speaking we feel that we became a part of something evil. I hate when someone is cheating behind others back. So, anyway last Sunday my husband called her from the office and said that he doesn't want them to hang out in the apartment today. I was little angry with him because he did that on the phone, but from another hand I was happy as it is my exam time and I do not want any disturbances, even I told her that till Diwali time I want the house to be calm, but she didn't do that and invited that guy again. Even she saw me studying continuously in the common room for last 3 days. If you ask me about that guy I must say that we like him, but feel very sorry for him. He is a doll in her hands, unaware of truth.
But let's leave this matter, it seems like she lost her last apartment also because of this reason (hanging too much time with this guy).
We wanted to talk to her after that but she is avoiding us, going early to work (she used to leave at 11 , now she leaves at 8) and coming late.
I am asking myself "does she have the right to be angry with us?" We already mentioned before giving the flat to her, that we do not like hanging out in the house and we do not like if someone treats our apartment as bachelore's house.

There are a lot o different issues with her (like not cleaning the bathroom after taking shower. She leaves the hair everywhere and the powder that she uses for bathing is leaving white marks on the floor.)

What shall I do? Talking doesn't help. She doesn't want to face the problem. She talks about changing the flat. I do not really have problem with that, but I would like to solve the problem, running away is not a solution. What to do? How to talk to her?

Hai , I am an Indian too . I don't understand why your so concerned when she obviously does not deserve it . My father is a lawyer so I can say the flat being yours law is also by your side. With so much problem already things are not going to change for the better . Give her a deadline and ask her to leave before it . House is a place where you must be peaceful and happy , If she is disturbing it why should you compromise after all it is your house . Wait late till she gets back a tell her honestly what you feel and ask her to leave.

Thank you Manikarnika for your answer. It is only because of my goodness I would like to find a solution. I feel sorry for her as I know she doesn't have any friends around her. Her character is very bad, she likes criticizing her friends and family but never herself. Maybe I should put my feelings aside and ask her to leave but then again I would like to finish it in really good way. I do not know how to talk to a person who listens to only those things which she wants to hear.
    Thank you once again.

If are very concerned maybe you can talk to her and give her one last chance. See if she redeems herself. So if she behaves badly even then she behaves badly you don't have to feel guilty about sending her away.
