Hi there... I was wondering isn't it a crime to hack into someone's cell phone and be
My son's psyco ex somehow hacks into his cell phone and is able to retrieve his voice messages and text messages and his contact.. she then starts calling and texting anyone he calls or talks to and threatens them and texts them like every two minutes just none stop back to back... is this illegal? And how does she do that? He has boost mobile and they can't block her number and he doesn't want to change his for business reasons. What can he do?

He HAS to change his number. There is no way around that.

Yes, it's illegal. How does she do it? I have no idea.

Can he prove she's doing it? I doubt it. Will the Police be interested? I doubt it.

Have the company put a forwarding message on the current number and bounce the calls and messages to the new number.

Police, should me, yes they should, will they , don't count on it. I got over 2000 stolen from me last month ( fraud) and they would not even come out to my business to take a report, they took a statement over the phone and had me fax them any evidence papers I had. Told me that when one of their people who was on vacation that week came back, they would look at the case.

So have him change the number, obviously she has gotten access either to his passcode, or knows him well enough to figure passcodes he would use.

If she is leaving messages about slitting someone's throat from ear to ear, yes, the Police will act on it IF your son (or the person being threatened) has proof.

I was in Court on some other matter. Similar situation. New girlfriend said she was threatened, old girlfriend said no. New girlfriend erased the messages. End of case.

Has he tried changing his passcode to retrieve his messages? There is no other way she is accessing this information other than using his passcodes. I'm not so sure about text messages being able to be hacked into. Voice messages definitely but not text messages that are sent directly to his phone.
