Call the PO NOW, ( and yes that was shouting) it will be considered a much more serious offense for not telling them, if ( and I mean when not if) they find out.

Most likely they will wait and see what happens with the charges, if they are dropped, or if you are not guilty because of mental issues and so on.

But if you don't tell them and even get off latter, they will almost for sure revolk you for just not telling them about it,
*** the worst thing than a regular PO is one who is mad at you for not respecting his position and notifing them of crimes..

But I doubt your medication and problems will get you off, and I would place money on it, that you get some of your time revoked. But that is just a quess and always up to the judge.

YOu need to reread your original probation sentencing paperwork to see what the Judge will give you (time wise in jail) should you violate your probation. If you are convicted of the new felony charge you definitely will be doing sometime in jail on your original charge plus whatever the next judge gives you on the felony theft charge. You need to contact your PO now or that's another automatic violation. You need to consult with an attorney if you have the money to do so now before you are taken in on a probation violation warrant and sit in jail awaiting your probation violation hearing.

Even if your new charge is a misdemeanor charge you will still be violating your probation if you don't report it right away. You also need to report to your PO the new charge and the fact that you are going to the mental hospital for help.
