    Surging noise in water pipes
When ever we turn on the water (i.e. kitchen sink, faucets) or flush a toilet there is a surging sound. Doesn't seem to do this when the washer is running thought. We live in a 1 year old house and are worried about our pipes. Seems to have gotten worse. The loudest is the mater toilet on the second floor. Help what do we do?

If this is a new house, see if it is still under the builder's warranty. It may/may not be covered if you have just the regular one year home warranty. However check both sources immediately, as they may require that you utilize the services of a particular plumber.

Pump or city water? Is the noise louder with hot or cold water? Miss V's correct. Check your home warranty. Good luck, Tom

We do have city water and it is louder with the hot then cold and seems to be getting worse. We are very concerned and our builder as of yet has not called us back.
