Was where do parents go for help with unmanageable children in wa state
My husband had two children from a former marriage. They lived in another state and was being raised by his (my husbands) parents. When we found out how bad it was for them we went to court and it was a long process, but he got custody of them in April of 2007. The children were 11 and 12 years old. We put them in therapy and sought help for them to overcome their past. We have gone through so much medical system and offers from the state and all we have been told is they cannot help them that they need more help then they can give or we can give. We are at brick wall. We have exhaulsted all avenues open to us. The children lie, cheat, steal, and show no emotions when caught except to be angry at you for it. The oldest boy has to be kept away from my younger children because he has "accidents" with them. The younger girl does not like them and will try to get them in trouble. The boy is OCD, ADHD, etc. the girl is simple similar. We cannot go on like this. This is not a once in while happening, it is everyday. I am so tired after almost four years of dealing with them. The child psychiatrist says the boy displays psychopathic tendencies. These children need more help than we can give them. How do we put them in the state system. What is the procedure for relisquishing custody to the state. Our two young children have been raised in a different environment and this is not healthy for them. I fear for our family. Please help us. I know this does not shound bad, but you have to live it to understand. Thank you

Have you looked at group homes for the one child that is the most affected? Special care can be provided that way. See if there are any openings and then see (ask them) what its going to take to get him in there. Also are you collecting ssd for the child?

No we do not receive any money for them. They both are about the same in behavior. We have had to put alams on their bedroom doors. They cannot be trusted at all. Where do I access these group home listings?
