    Sticky wall furnace valve
I have an Empire wall heater model DV210 which failed to respond to the thermostat and turn on until I tapped the gas valve (7000 MVRLC-LP). This has happened only recently. Question: What are the conditions that encourage a valve to stick and is there anything I can do to discourage sticking in the future?

    Many thanks

Replace it. If it sticks to open it can stick to close and is very dangerous
