    Vista and Languages
When I got Windows Vista, my mother installed it in Chinese. Tries to reinstall it have failed. I know there is a tool in Windows called lpksetup.exe that will help install additional languages. I searched online for the syntax for using this tool and have not figured out how to use it. I cannot read Chinese but my mother can. I found a folder on my computer at the path "C:\Windows\System32\en-US". It contains many MUI files I know can be installed to make my computer display in English. Additionally, I want to install the MUI files at the folders "C:\Windows\System32\en-UK" and "C:\Windows\System32\es-ES", which I believe are English-United Kingdom and Spanish-Spain. After installing these languages, I want to be able to choose between them from a drop-down list to find which ones to display.

In an unrelated question, how do you turn on the Aero function of Vista? I have the Ultimate version installed.

    Additional info:
There are two hard drives: a Samsung 80GB and a Seagate 400GB with 800.10 PMR technology. On the first HDD there is the OEM preinstalled Windows XP Home Edition. On the second one I have partitions for the swap files for Win XP Home, Win XP Pro, and Vista. I also have three more partitions a partition for Windows XP Pro, a partition for Vista, and a partition to hold files to share files between them all

Considering that Vista has only been released to business volume license customers I can only asusme that you have a pirated copy. I suggest that no one here offer any support to you.

I won't assume that it's a pirated version. You could have a Beta copy. If you do, then your questions should be addressed in the Beta support forums for Vista at Microsoft.com.

If it is a pirated copy, then remove it until you can get a legal one. In either case, it will expire at the beginning of March.

Pirated copy, yeah right. It's the beta version. But in Chinese. If I were to get a pirate copy, why would I be so stupid as to download it in Chinese? Anyway, no one knows how to manipulate MUI files?

Like I said, if it's a legal beta, you need to post your question in the Beta support area.

I apologize jabagawee, I was quick to jump there. I would imagine that the downloaded betas do not contain all the language packs other than the version you selected. Redownload the OS in the language you prefer.

Oh boy, not another download. The last one crashed on me at 76%. Oh well. I guess there's no other option
