    Septic system vent pipe pvc or steel?
    I have steel now is there any reason why PVC 40 should not be used in the new system that will be installed soon?

    Depends on where you live. In most areas a septic replacement must pass a fairly strict county code and inspection. Most are PVC but your code will prevail

    Absolutely not, as long as you have a transition fitting to galvanize with new pipe.
