    Bunn STS-35 Coffee maker
Just bought a STS-35 Coffee Maker (Bunn). Our old Coffee maker was plugged into a 220 socket with a funny looking plug (Vert slot, hor.slot and a ground under it). There is no cable for the new coffee machine... can I take the old power cord off and put it on the new machine? I know the basics 2 wiring, but this is beyond me. I don't want to fry the outlet or the machine. Note: The new machine doesn't have a cable period. Any info would help.

Please tell us where you are located?

If you are in a country that uses a 220 VAC, than you have to match the power supply in the coffee maker to the power supplied by the country you are in.

It is not a simple as changing the power cord.

My suggestion would be to contact the manufacturer and see if they can either switch the coffee maker for you or send you the correct parts.

Since you are not familiar with this work I would call an electrician in to wire this machine.
It requires a 20A, 120/240v, 4-wire circuit, which it seems you do not have. An electrician will be able to tell you and run the proper circuit if you do not.
