The high-temp safety has blown out and needs replacing. In order to replace it you have to disassemble entire drier and clean out all buildup. It is a fairly easy job to do and needs done every year or so to keep it running well. Make sure to clean blower wheel also because 1/16 inch of dirt kills 33% of efficiency and I am sure it is full of dirt. Blow out motor with air or vacuum it out. You have to wash out the air ducts after removing them because buildup is like concrete. About all you need is a multi-purpose screwdriver to do the job. DrTom4444

Roper clothes dryer will not start. 243v across l r poles 121v l to center, 122 v r to cntr 2 wire red white black power cord. It started once when I moved it but it does not start in any of the dry cycles when I press the start button. The door has been closed for every test.

My dryer is not drying my clothes. Initially, the dryer would be hot and not dry but I had moved and the vent lining was too long. That worked for awhile, but now, it takes 2-3 hours to dry the clothes. Another site said it might be a blown fuse. How do I get to the fuse box to replace it?
