Removing Maytag washer door boot spring
I have a Maytag Model MAH6500AWW with a door boot that has a slit cut into it and leaks. I can disassemble the machine down to the point of removing the tub spring that applies tension to the boot cable holding the door boot onto the tub. There is a lot of tension on that spring. How do you remove the spring and more importantly how do you put the spring back on? Is there a tool that can assist with this?

Use two people to reinstall the spring . One to hold it while the 2nd stretches it around . No tool that I know of and I do this for a living

Sears garage door opener spring [ 1 Answers ]

I have a garage door opener that I purchased from Sears less than 2 years ago and I took out the extra warranty.. DO the warranty usually cover the breakage of the spring on the door itself? If not is it a easy job one could do himself? Or is something a professional should do? Thanks
