Trane XE 1000 and TCONT802
I have a trane Xe 1000 with 8 wires. I have mapped the old leads except the one connected to T. g-g, b-b, o-o, etc
balck to X2 and white to W1. I only have a Y2, F, S1 and S2 left on the new TCONT802 thermostate to support the T wire. I believe I had it in Y2 and the heat was on instead of cooling. Any suggestions. Thanks |

Please explain why the outside unit will not stop running when unit is turned off from inside?
I came home and the unit did not run. I checked the furnace and it showed that I needed to replace the thermostat. Now that that is done, it says that the heat is fine but to call for service. Is it freon? How do I know where to troubleshoot?
Can anyone point me to the instructions to setup this thermostat? The booklet is not complete with the advanced settings like how to change from 2 to 3 stage heat etc. Thanks, BD
