Need help with this advanced functions question
Seismic activity at a certain point on the ocean floor creates a wave that spreads in a circular pattern over the ocean surface. The table shows the area of the circular wave as the radius spreads.
Radius, m... Area m2 (meters squared)
    0... 0
    2... 12.57
    4... 50.27
    6... 113.10
    8... 201.06
    10... 314.16
    12... 452.39
    14... 615.75
    16... 804.25
    18... 1017.88
    20... 1256.64

Determine the average rate of change in area with respect to radius for the time intervals [0, 20], [6, 12]
Interpret the values that you've found. i.e. write a sentence about them that clearly states what the value represents.

I don't understand this question at all can some one please help me and explain it to me

Rate of change of something is equal to the difference between the final value of the something and its initial value, divided by the time.

Here, take the difference in the areas of the wave for time 0 and time 20, that is:

You do the same thing with the other rate.

You should try the last part and post what you think. I don't think that there is strictly one correct answer, so long your interpretation makes sense. :)
