Is cement board needed under granite countertop?
To install granite on an kitchen island (with no water or sink) Is cement board required on top of the 3/4" wood? Or can the granite go directly on top of the wood?
    Thank you.

    Hi Jean,

It's a slab right? Not granite tiles. As Chuck said you're fine if a slab. Tiles are a different matter.
