    Ceiling fan repair
My fan stopped working in "up" mode and will only blow downward. Could this be the switch and can it be replaced?

Yes it could be the reversing switch and yes it can be replaced. Uusually found on the side of the motor housing a small slide switch. Could be a small button on a remote, do you have this type of remote? Brand aand model may help me find you an OEM part
