    White sediment is left ondark clothes after washing in my Maytag washer that is 7 yrs
    White sediment is left on my cclothes after washing in my Maytag washer that is approx 7 yrs old.

    What should I do?

    Sounds like undisolved laundry detergent; your water not being hot enough to disolve it, or the time you add. Liquid laundry detergents are just as good now as powder forms, some allowing you to use cold water wash instead of hot.
