    I need information on adding a name to a land deed, how do I go about it?

    If this for a family member, are you selling it or just adding a name. ( I will assume just add a name)

    Also what country are you from, US, Canada, Iraq, Mexico??

    And if the US what state, some state laws differ.

    One of the more simple method of just adding a name is a quitclaim deed where the current owner files with both their name and the new names, it is important to do that,

    There are online legal form sites that help with this, and there are in many states paralegal services that will do this at a lower cost.

    You can even merely buy the forms at places like Staples and Office Depo.

    And of course you can do it though a title company or real estate attorney, and it should not be too costly.
