    Im 5'1 and I weigh 19 stone 7lbs..
Ok so incredibly long story cut short... I've always been the chubby girl throughout my life (Im 20 now btw) but a few year ago my mother got abusive towards me really putting me down about myself and I began to believe her. Since then I have been comforting eating waay too much. I have no self confidence or self believe. I have little faith in myself. Whenever I fail I eat. Whenever I eat I feel guilty because I hate how I look so much. Im living a horrible cycle which I can't get out.
My plan now is to diet dramatically... I want to have lost at least 5 stone plus by christmas then I will go on proper healthy eating, or halving portions or whichever afterwards but I need this boost to get me going... I need to see dramatic results and fast otherwise I know Im just going to feel like it's not working and give up and binge eat.
I know that's what I'll do because I have PCOS and after 2 months the pills I got put on were doing nothing so I cried about it, ate some more and stopped taking them because I thought what's the use. Just to state also I started taking them again as of yesterday.

I need a change of lifestyle, of eating, a new train of thought... I need a new me!

Can anyone help me? All I get at home is abuse and told how fat and ugly I am and no-one will ever love me, bla bla bla then they feed me with junkfood... ergh!!
Any advice or feedback is welcomed... thanks for reading =)

For a start, do this for you, and your health.

Don't set yourself a target like 5 stone in less than four months. It's barely achievable at the best of times, and allows for no setbacks at all. Instead, set yourself a target of so many days of clean eating, rather than weight loss.

PCOS will slow up weight loss, until you manage to reverse it a bit.

The good news is that PCOS shows what diet you need to be on, and that's a very low carb one. To control PCOS, you need to control insulin, which means cutting out all the white carbs (sugar, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, cereals) and all forms of processed fat and ready meal.

Base meals on oily fish, eggs, fresh meat and chicken, lots and lots of green vegetables, some dairy, olive oil, nuts, small amounts of whole fruit and wholegrains. Eating this way should give you the best results.

Eat when you are hungry. Don't eat unless you are hungry. The nice thing about food like meat and eggs and vegetables is that you don't binge on them. No-one ever eats more eggs than they want, just because they've had a row with their mother.

Combine this with increasing activity as much as possible. Walk lots, climb stairs, ride a bike rather then driving, and join a gym and do some strength work.

Set yourself fitness targets rather than weight loss targets. See how long it takes you to walk a mile, then see how long it takes you to reduce that time. See how many bodyweight squats and press-ups you can do, then work to increase this. See how far you can cycle in half an hour.

Lifestyle: try turning off your television. It's amazing how much of your life a TV can suck up, and while you are watching TV, it's easy to eat and eat and eat.
