Smelly water
A couple of months ago I had the sink and faucet in my bathroom replaced. The water that comes out now smells bad! Before this, there was no smell, and the water flowing from the rest of my taps has no odor that I can notice. Was there maybe something that wasn't done properly when the sink and taps were installed?

Same problem and solution. New carpet made water smell funny. Filled a bathtub with water, and the smell started. Doing dishes in the sink, funny smell. I called the water department, and they immediately asked if I had just put in new carpet. Why, yes I had. They said the chemicals in the carpet...
Why after three days did my water start smelling? They put a chlorinator on the well to get a sample that was clean. The smell is sickening and the water coming from the cold tap is very warm. You don't need hot water to take a shower the cold is so warm. HELP!
I’m on a well and the water smells really unpleasant. Actually its past unpleasant, its bad. How do I determine the cause (understand it could be in the pipes?) and what options do I have?
