Kenmore Model 70 softener dispenser
Have a second home w/ model 70 washer that has a clogged softener dispenser. Seems to be a wax like sustance that is causing the problem. Don't know if it is because it is not used enough or if the softner was not deluted when it was used. Any suggestions on cleaning out the waxy substance?

Hi--have an older KitchenAid washing machine (no instruction manual) and am wondering how to remove the top of the softener dispenser so I can clean it. The softener is added through a hole at the top of the agitator. I had another washer which worked the same way and you could just lift the top...

All of a sudden the detergent dispenser doesn't open during the cycle. It opens fine manually and the spring is fine. What is wrong? How can I make it work again? Thanks
