What causes my pressure switch to cut in and out several times on start -up ?
I've installed a complete new submersible well pump system all the way to my old bladder style pressure tank. I have not changed the bladder pressure which is 18 1/2 psi and holding OK.Old pressure switch was a 20/40, new one is a 30/50. Replaced old switch as I was having the same problem as I am now having with the new one. Old switch was working fine when I removed it from the old jet pump I replaced. Switch starts and stops at proper pressure but cuts off and on rapidly 4 or 5 times before staying engaged to run.Installed an inline TEE with a TEE on top of it for my pressure switch and pressure gauge above the water line level. The only thing I can think of is that this maybe allowing air buid-up in this area. Could it be that I need these mounted so they are at or below the water line lvel of the pipe?
