I'm new here but I came across this website I've being looking at different sites for over a week now.I went to the dentist on 8/23/10 for a really really bad tooth ache always being afraid to go to the dentist anyway so I have not sleeped in 2 days before I go on the 23 of August OK I learn that I have a abcessed tooth in my lower right jaw NOT the bad news She also tells me that more of my teeth are getting abcessed also can't save them 13 TEETH in all I go Sep 3 2010 to get them cut out How can I heal quicker and I'm a smoker also please help any advice would be helpful might not get back to u all untile I wake up fully from being put to sleep.What after care can I do to help me??

Your dentist will tell you all you need to know for aftercare of extractions. It is good you are having this work done. Delinquent mouth abscesses can cause a host of problems in your body, some leading to heart attacks.

I would suggest you refrain from smoking though, during the healing process. Any nicotine going into your mouth can retard the healing process and possibly cause more secondary infections.
