    Lawyer withdrew
    My divorce was filed in 2008, my lawyer has withdrawn because of family health problems, how can I proceed without starting over?

    Is your divorce still pending or has it settled?

    You don't need to "start over" - you find a new attorney and s/he will file a notice of retainer with the court so they know that you have new representation. Or you can do the case pro se but if your ex has an attorney, I wouldn't recommend doing that.
