I took the birth control shot only one time its already past the 3 months and my period is very irregular how long will the shot be in my body or effects of it. If I have a blood test will it still show if its been 4 or 5 months?

It could take a few more months for the effects to wear off.

I don't understand exactly what you are asking about a blood test, it will not show up unless the doctor is specifically asking for a blood test for the particular medication you are on.

Depending on the type of shot it can take up to a year to get out of your system, I was on one for over a year and it took 3 years to get everything back to normal. You might want to talk to you Doctor about it.

This info is correct if you have taken the shot for a while, since over time, it tends to build up in your body.

With that said, since you have only had the shot once, it could take a few months to rid your body of the hormone.
