    can 16 year old be sexually avtive with a 23 year old in Georgia even if its not okay with her/his parents ????

    At 16 the parents get to make the decisions. The parents could have him arrested for interfering with the child.

    I'm confused - this starts with the girl 16 and the boy 19; then it changes to 16 and 23. Which is it?

    The age factor if you want the LEGAL answer is important: "The age of consent in Georgia is 16 as specified by Section 16.6.3 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

    Also stated in the Criminal Code of Georgia 16.6.3 subsection (c), if a person is "at least 14 but less than 16 years of age and the person convicted of statutory rape is 18 years of age or younger and is no more than four years older than the victim, such person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor."
