    Who owns th dirt
    In 2004 I bought a piece of lan and put all the roads and utlilites in stock piling the black dirt from the roads on the land. I sold the land where the stock pile is and now the new owner is claiming he owns the pile is this a case for abailment on my part please respond to me at >Removed< the property is in Wisconsin.

    Unless the sale agreement specifically excluded the dirt, its on the property, it belongs to him.

    If it was sitting on the property at the time and sale, and there was nothing in the contract that says other wise, yes the new owner owns all of it.

    You don't own the dirt any more as you sold the property where the dirt is located. You should have moved the dirt prior to putting the property up for sale.

    Dirt is dirt, when you sold undisturbed soil you sold the fill black that was sitting on top of it. If you wanted to continue to own the black stock pile it should have been removed prior to offering the property for sale.
