Florida is one of the very worst states to try and break a lease. FL law does not require a landlord to make an effort to re rent the property. So they can sit with the property vacant until the lease expires holding you responsible for the whole lease.

    You have 3 options.

    1) offer the landlord a buyout (generally 2 months) to get out of the lease early.
    2) sublet the property
    3) find someone to replace you as a tenant.
