My suggestion at this stage, is find out more about the product(who manufactures it)bring it in to the nearest Home and Garden(Rona)i.e.. And inquire about it with one of the representatives in the plumbing dept, obtain as much advise and directional tools you acquire to guide you through your situation... and /or.. (There should be silver tag on the pump containing the manufacturer(Flotec or something.. )serial# , model , and a 1-800#of such.etc)
Call the phone #phone# and bob's your uncle..

The pump should have a silver sticker on it stating the who manufactures it.. (i.e Flotec),. the serial#, model# and toll free ph# or website.. etc call the #. With that sticker, they are able to obtain info necessary to solve your issue if indeed it is a pump issue. And/or.. as well with.. they may recommend you bring it to a retailer who sells their product
And have it exchanged on the terms you have been informed of.
