    Will adding an extra ceiling fan capacitor run it faster or is it not safe?
    My Hampton bay chatham ceiling fan has a single three wire capacitor but I added an extra 5 wire capacitor will this make it run faster on high?

    The purpose of a capacitor is to store power, some as a start aid, some as a running aid. The rpm of the motor is determined by the windings, not the capacitor.
