    Food waste disposal noise causes
Working on noise and finally freed one of two grinder posts, now have small leak from upper part of disposal under sink. Will this need an expert to redo the lineup of rubber seals, etc or will a simple twist do the job. BTW, the ice ground up freed the stuck grinder post, still working on getting it to swing freely. This all started because one of us in the house (unnamed) thought the D was too noisy.

Use the wrench that came with the disposal and try to tighten the mounting ring. If the leak doesn't stop, you may have to replace the top seal. Not too hard, remove drain, loosen the mounting ring, drop disposal, install new ring and remount.
