    Does a spouse get 50 percent of her ex husbands retirement from active duty military
    My wife was married to her ex-husband for 14 of his 20 years in the active duty army. He is now retired. Is she entitled to any of his retirement?

    When she divorced him was there any wording in the divorce decree as to what happens to his retirement pay? If not, then most likely the answer is no. Here is an article that gives an example like your wife's, but note that the divorce decree issued at the time of the divorce specified how the retirement pay was to split after the husband retires:
