    What is the average number of years taken by an executive to get promoted in US?
    I am making a report on training requirements in developing ecenomies. For this I want to compare the average number of years spent by an executive to get promoted in a developed ecenomy as compared to that in a developing economy.

    So many things apply here;

    Does the company have a structured promotion program?

    The type of company/market.

    The individual themselves.

    Etc.

    However if I am pressed to come up with an average I would go as far as to say that all being equal and the person is productive and bright than I would say a year or so.
