Warrants never expire and can't be dropped. Apparently the Police don't want to make the trip to pick you up. That doesn't mean they won't take you into custody if you are stopped for any reason.

I have asked that this be a new thread.

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So your question has been moved to its own thread.

As noted a warrant never expires. That doesn't mean the police department feels it is worth the cost to come after you. But if you are ever stopped for anything, the warrant will show and you could be held.

    Hello lil:

Oh, they'll come get you someday... I don't know WHY PO's in Georgia ain't especially smart... Certainly, if you commit another crime, and it comes out that you TOLD them your address and they REFUSED to come get you, some of them will lose their jobs... Did I say SOME? How about LOTS of them.

I have NO idea why they don't know that...

A warrant will never expire ( some minor things from cities on traffic issues are reviewed by the city and at times dropped) but criminal warrants are not dropped.

They will stay active till the day you die unless you are caught.
Next the funny thing, if for example they stop you and run a check on you, if GA does not want to come get you, you are just held till the check is done and released. But after that the warrant is still active and you are subject to being stopped and held till they check again, anytime they want.
*** if you live in a small town and the police want to mess with you, they can stop you every few days and run a check on you , just to have fun.

So you will have to either hire an attorney to deal with it in GA, or travel their and turn yourself in and take care of it
