The fan was responding to the remote, but never the light. Both would work with the pull chain. Now fan won't work at all, and light still doesn't respond to the pull chain.

The ceiling fan remote has lost part of its function. The button which turns the light off/on and dims the lights will only dim the lights. It will not turn the lights off and on. All other functions work such as fan speed, fan off/on and reverse. Any thoughts

I installed a Hunter ceiling fan with a Hampton Bay remote. The remote controls the fan correctly. The light works when pulling the chain but does not work from the remote.
