Is EtG a separate urine test from the panal tests
I am given a panal drug screen at a treatment center. Would this include EtG alcohol testing?

By panel I assume you mean a "dip" type test or a special container that shows an observable response to specific drugs.

EtG (Ethylgucuronide) is a test for late stage metabolism of alcohol only. To the best of my knowledge at the current time neither immunoassays nor any other non-laboratory based test is being used. In Europe an immunoassay was recently approved (DRI-EtG EIA, Microgenics Corp.) The drug testing field is very dynamic however. Ever changing.

Any EtG test less than the GC/MS* would require confirmation by GC/MS. While widely promoted by the testing industry EtG is viewed as unreliable by federal regulators. (see Advisory, SAMHSA, 2006, still in effect)

    *Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry
